The Beach

This drawing was commissioned by , who wanted me to draw Nanoha and her adoptive daughter Vivio. Both are characters from the anime show, Magical Girls Lyrical Nanoha.

After I was asked to draw them at the beach, and after reading a bit about them from the Wiki page. I got a real sense of love and a close bond between the two. I immediately imagined a caption from Nanoha saying something like, 'Race you to the sea!' or something cute like that. Something that made Nanoha still try to play with her daughter despite her swollen gravid nature. Good motherly affection that makes the viewer go, 'Dawwww' 

Hopefully this also comes across as being a good summertime drawing. Bright colours, lots of sunshine, sand and clear waters, and a healthy dose of a heavily pregnant anime girl in a bikini at the seaside.
